The remaining 2% is a combination of mild preservatives and fragrances that ensure the formulation remains safe and is long-lasting. They ensure the product does not go off or degrade. They also prevent bacteria or germs from forming that could be harmful to the health and which might cause the product to spoil quickly. The preservatives also help to ensure that the formulation is consistent and effective and that the heavenly tropical fragrances remain strong.

What makes NATURE’S PARADISE so special?

We draw on the latest biotechnological research and use only the best natural extracts derived form exotic superfruits and superfoods - ingredients that are both gentle and exceptionally powerful. The Dermatest Research Institute has certified all our products as “excellent”. We use slightly higher concentrations of perfume oils in our formulations compared to other commercial hair care products to ensure the hair stays fresh and smells of beautiful tropical fragrances even hours after washing.

Are the products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes, all NATURE'S PARADISE products must be fair and ethical. We ensure that they are made in a safe, natural, fair and forward-thinking way. And these principles are applied across the entire process from product development and ingredient sourcing to production and packaging. This means that we refrain from any kind of animal testing. The testing of cosmetic products of animals was actually banned in Europe in 1998. Our products are 100% vegan, which means none of the ingredients we use in our products are made from animals.

Where are the products made?

The products are formulated and produced by a team of creative beauty enthusiasts, stylists and hair specialists in Berlin. They are produced exclusively in Germany in the beautiful Kinzig Valley in southwest Germany. The valley is bordered by a range of low wooded mountains called the Spessart and the volcanic Vogelsberg.

What about parabens, gluten, mineral oils or other controversial substances?

None of our products contain parabens, mineral oils, silicone, gluten or artificial colours. Our shampoos and conditioners also do not contain SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) or SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate). Instead, we use a much milder and more environmentally-friendly alternative called Coco Sulfate.

What should I do if I have an allergic reaction to the products?

We recommend that you carry out a patch test on your skin to test the ingredients contained in our products. The ingredients we use are very skin friendly. All NATURE'S PARADISE products have been dermatologically tested and rated as “excellent”. All products have been classified as non-toxic and safe. We take any concerns you have seriously and would thoroughly investigate any issues. For this purpose, please can you tell us the product name and its barcode number (this is a small black number, which can be found on the bottom of the bottle or the product).

What is the shelf life of NATURE'S PARADISE products?

The products have a shelf life of several years when they remain unopened. After opening, we guarantee a minimum shelf life of 12 months. A useful tip: Always close the bottles tightly after use so that the contents do not harden or become sticky when left open and exposed to air.

Is it true that less foam is better for the skin and hair?

Many people believe that it is the foam in shampoo that removes dirt an oil from the hair. This is a common misconception. Active cleansing agents called tensides take care of this by reducing the surface tension between the water and the greasy, water-repellent dirt. They also remove sebum, residues of styling products and dirt particles from the scalp and hair. The foam performs a different task. It keeps the dirt and grease in suspension so that they can be rinsed out. But you do not need huge mountains of foam. An excessive amount of foam in shampoos and shower gel is not necessarily an indication of quality. Products that produce a lot of foam often contain sulfates derived from petroleum, which are very harsh and irritate the scalp and hair. They also encourage dandruff to form, and they dry out the hair. Organic tensides which are used in NATURE'S PARADISE hair care products, are even more effective and clean just as well. They are more gentle on the hair and skin. What´s more, they are environmentally friendly and also produce slightly less foam than other products.

Kann man die Shampoos auch als Duschgel für den Körper verwenden ?

Ja, das ist grundsätzlich möglich. Generell sind die Reinigungssubstanzen bei Shampoos milder als bei klassischen Duschgelen. NATURE’S PARADISE verwendet sogar extrem milde waschaktive Substanzen die von Dermatest klinisch geprüft und mit „Sehr gut“ ausgezeichnet wurden. Daher können sie bedenkenlos - z.B. weil der Duft so gut gefällt - für alle Teile des Körpers wie ein sanftes Duschgel verwendet werden.

Can the shampoos also be used as shower gel for the body?

Yes, this is absolutely fine. The cleaning substances in shampoos are generally milder than in those used in regular shower gels. NATURE'S PARADISE uses extremely mild active cleansing agents that have been clinically tested and rated as “excellent” by the Dermatest Research Institute. So, if you can´t get enough of the beautiful fragrances, feel free to use them as a gentle shower gel as often as you like.

Can you just use the shampoos on their own without using the conditioner?

Yes, absolutely! To achieve optimum shine, volume and a beneficial moisturising effect, we recommend the use of the conditioner after the shampoo (make sure you rinse the hair thoroughly beforehand). This is especially the case for coarse and brittle hair or hair that is prone to split ends or which breaks easily. That also applies to static-prone hair “flyaway” hair. The conditioner ensures extra shine and volume, provides a smooth finish and makes the hair much easier to comb. Its special formulation does not weaken or weigh down the hair.
